Laurie Jean (Rura) Skoff

Laurie Jean Skoff, 61, of Homer City died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. She was the daughter of Samuel Sr. and Dolores (Kaylor) Rura and was born March 19, 1956 in Latrobe, PA. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, gardening and camping. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Skoff; three children, Melissa Brewer, Homer City; Sandra Parke and husband Barry Smith, Hillsdale and Roland Parke Jr., Commodore; grandchildren, Cody Brewer and wife Madison, Luke Brewer, Amelia Brewer, Natasha Fox and husband Shawn, Alysha Parke, Katelyn Parke, Emma Smith, Alivia Parke, Zaine Parke, Aidan Killoy and Abby Killoy. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Carter and Liam Parke and Emily Ruddock; sister, Susie Muir, Blairsville and brothers, Matthew Rura, Blairsville and Samuel Rura, New Jersey. Her parents, Samuel and Delores Rura, Coral; mother-in-law, Mabel Skoff, Homer City, and five dogs and one cat also survive her. She was preceded death by her son-in-law, Stephen Brewer, two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Jean Smith and Julianna Killoy and her father-in-law, Steve Skoff. Friends will be received Thursday, from 7-9PM and Friday from 10AM until time of service at 1PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City with Rev. Kirt Anderson, officiating.
