Stella Yarkowski

Stella Mabel (Lichtenfels) Yarkowski was born on September 13,1928 in Robinson, Pa.,to Lester C. And Ethel Lichtenfels. She resided there until she married her beloved John on November 19,1955, and they lived in Lucernemines. She was preceded in death by husband, John, who died April 23, 2009, parents, brothers Nelson, Francis, Boyd, Eugene, and Harry. Survived by brothers Howard(Peggy) Lichtenfels of Robinson, James (Joan) Lichtenfels of Bolivar and sisters-in-law Lesta Lichtenfels, Robinson, Bertha Barbi, Indiana and Lena Harydzak, Pittsburgh Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews of whom they loved very much! Many thanks to friend and neighbor, Nancy Waltemire, who faithfully visited Stella twice a week. Also to the staff at Communities of Indian Haven where Stella has resided since being overtaken with Alzheimer's Disease. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemines. Interment to follow in St. Bernards Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Louis church, Communities of Indian Haven or a charity of your choice.
