Roger Allen Ravenscroft

Roger Allen Ravenscroft, 67, Saltsburg died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Latrobe Hospital. He was the son of Merle and Stella (Rodriquez) Ravenscroft and was born April 9, 1944 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Roger was a member of the Saltsburg American Legion Post #57, UMWA Local Saltsburg, Union Mine Rescue Team for 5 years. He was employed by Tunnelton Mines in Saltsburg and was an Air Force Veteran in the Vietnam Era. Mr. Ravenscroft is survived by his wife the former Linda Lazor Children - Angela Ravenscroft of Fenelton, PA; Michael Ravenscroft and wife Stacie of Titusville, Florida and Roger Green and wife Paula of Wells, Maine; Grandchildren - Sean Kohloff, Riley Ravenscroft and Ashley Green; Siblings - Harold Ravenscroft and Merle Ravenscroft both of North Carolina, Ramona Shannon and Warren Ravenscroft both of Tunnelton. Roger is preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. R.A. Wallace, officiating.
