Ellen Herman

Herman-Ellen Carnahan, 74, Michigan, formerly of Nanty Glo, passed away May 27, 2019 after suffering a stroke on May 20, 2019, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. She was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late George Bichko and Margaret Carnahan. Preceded in death by Uncle Leo Carnahan. She is survived by her children Michael Douglas (Larain) Herman, Jr.; GraceAnn Marie (Mike) Jackson; and Thomas Joseph (Brandy) Herman, Sr. Grandchildren Charie Downey, Sharisa Devoe, Thomas Herman, Jr., Patrick Jackson, Michael Herman, III, Brandon Herman, Patrick Herman, Michael Jackson, Jr., Troy Herman, and Caitlynn Herman. Great Grandchildren Dariean Nolen, Makahla Downey, Graceanna Pawlowski, Christy York, Leila Henderson, Thomas Herman, III, and Emmaleigh Leivas-Herman. Ellen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
