Emma Jean (Patterson) Phillippi, 94, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2024, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 2, 1930, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to the late Norman and Irene (Stenger) Patterson.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Ray Phillippi, and her sister, Doris Cochran.
She is survived by her sisters, Naomi (Vaughn) McGaughey and Norma Lee Yarnal; her nieces and nephews, Constance McGaughey DeGastro (Albert), Norman McGaughey (Shelly), Lee Hassin (Steve), Donald Yarnal (Brenda), Johna Cochran, Noreen White, Jessie Cochran (Jennifer), and many other nieces, nephews, and friends, including Randy and Jonathan Phillippi and Marlene Ondo.
Emma was a dedicated member of the Independent Traditional Holiness Church in Indiana and a long-time employee of Savings and Trust Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Joy and caring for her home.
Friends will be received at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 3 PM, with Rev. Randy Perry officiating. Emma will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Independent Traditional Holiness Church at 5065 Ferguson Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
