Zeglen, Althea (Lanzendorfer), 90, of Twin Rocks, born June 27, 1926 passed away on January 21, 2017, and will now be reunited with the love of her life, Zeg, to whom she was married for 62 years. She was the daughter of the late George and Edna (Moyer) Lanzendorfer. She was the proud sister of eight brothers who all served in the military and one amazing sister (and best friend). She was preceded in death by husband, Stanley, grandson Domonic and brothers Wilfred (Willy), Francis (Hank), Robert (Pete), Paul (Rudy), George (Gus), Thomas, and Dawn (Jitter). Her surviving children are Georgina (Jay) Dino, Gregory (Patti), Margaret (Anthony) Previte, all of Belsano; Joseph (Carol) of Nanty Glo; Janet Zeglen (Daniel) and James (Wendy), both of Strongstown. She has 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is the sister of Margaret (Peg) Hancherick and Richard (Dick) Lanzendorfer, both of Twin Rocks; surviving sisters-in-law Elizabeth and Elaine of Twin Rocks and Maryann of Mundys Corner. Althea was a strong willed person who always put others before herself. She loved gardening, especially flowers. She was dedicated to her family and was a devout Catholic; she was a member of the former Sts. Timothy and Mark Church and currently St. Marys Church. Family and friends will be received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Tuesday from 2 to 8, where Liturgical Wake Service will be held. Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Nanty Glo. Fr. Leonard Voytek , the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks.
