Ana Marie Cosme

Ana Maria Cosme, 78, of Homer City, formerly of Reading, passed away on December 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 9, 1947, in Puerto Rico, and was the daughter of the late Otilio and Inez (Ortiz) Cosme. She was of the Catholic faith.

Ana was a truly beautiful and caring woman, inside and out. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She had a gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a heart that was always open to anyone who needed love, a meal, or a place to sit and talk. She loved nature and flowers, especially planting and tending the flowers she grew herself. She enjoyed watching movies and her favorite game shows, The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal. She was known for her kindness, patience, and ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she loved them more than anything.

She is survived by her children, Marta Maria Rios Cosme, Reading; Inez Maria Rios Cosme, Puerto Rico; Luzselina Rios Cosme, Reading; Carmen Maria Rios Cosme, Reading; Otilio Rios Cosme Jr., with whom she resided, and Luis Angel Cosme, Reading. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Juliya Rios, Stephani Rios, Francisco Rios, Efrain Rios, Correa Rios, Katairia Rios, Katherine Rios, Gilbert Rios, Michelle Rios, Celina Rios, Michael Rios, Victor Tosado Rios, Estaban Ocasio, Winosca Rivera, William Abreu, Madglyn Abreu, Jorge Luis Rios Cosme, Eliza Rios Cosme, Carmen Muniz, Francisco Muniz, and Esmeralda Muniz, and Glory Muniz. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ana Celia Mayo and Monsa Cosme; her nieces, nephews, and extended family, who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Otilio and Inez, she was preceded in death by her two children, Carmen Laura Rios Cosme and Jorge Luis Rios Cosme, and siblings, Gloria Cosme, Tomasa Cosme, Romona Cosme, Antonio Cosme, and Pepo Cosme.

Calling hours and service times will be announced by C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Interment will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
