Augustine 'Augie' (Carrarini) Stabile

Augustine (Augie) Stabile, 92, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. Augie was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Hannastown, to Guerino and Antoinette Roman Carrarini. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stabile; two brothers: George and wife Liz, and Louis and wife Ermita Carrarini; her sister, Rose Riscinto and husband Dominick; and her twin sisters: Julia DeMarino and husband James, and Antoinette Lotto. Augie is survived by three daughters: Nicolina (Nikki), of Lucernemines; Mary Jo and Brad Lewis, of Homer City; and Antoinette (Toni) Spiaggi and husband Dannie, of Blairsville; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Lotto, of Greensburg. The family especially thanks her niece, Paula, for making sure her daughter could visit her mother at the nursing home and would also like to express their thanks to Beacon Ridge for the care that they gave their mother. Friends will be received at C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of a blessing service at 1 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. at our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines. Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
