Betty Lou (Baker) Wilson, 95, Homer City died September 29, 2016 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Cleveland and Rebecca Jane (McCombs) Baker and was born December 3, 1920 in Homer City, PA She was employed by Syntron during the war and later worked at Sickenbergers Drug Store and Harmon's five and ten. Betty Lou was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Homer City. She was famous for her baked beans and her homemade candy and she also volunteered at a cook for her church. She is survived by three children, Jerry (Rhetta) Wilson, Homer City; Alfred (Linda) Wilson Jr., Cherry Tree and Linda Lou (Craig) Miller, Blairsville; two grandchildren, Michael (Donna) Wilson and Patrick (Cheryl Fleming) Miller; and a great granddaughter, Amanda Wilson. She is also survived by her sister Vivian Dawn Fleming, Harrisburg and her brother, William Baker, California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred K. Peeny Wilson; grandson, Nathan Miller; sisters, Edith Louise Kramp, Margaret Belle Edwards, Zora Jamison, Naomi Burkett, Bernadeen Kinter, Beverly Jean Baker and brothers, Robert Merle, Clarence, Russell, and William. Friends will be received Friday from 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City and Saturday from 11 until time of service at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Bond, officiating. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Donations may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church, Homer City.
