Brenda Lee Volk

Brenda Lee Volk, 67, of Josephine, passed away on September 7, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born July 24, 1959, in Johnstown and was the daughter of the late Lee H. Hoover and Charlotte (Campbell) Hoover.

Brenda worked as a home health caregiver. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who cherished time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Volk; her daughters, Tanya Short and Tracy Short, both of New Florence; her son, Timothy Volk, and wife Meghan, of Akron, Ohio; her five grandchildren, Destiny, Logan, Landon, Sophie, and Keyira; and her three great-grandchildren, Marshall, Owen, and Freya Sky, who were the light of her life and brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Rensko, and husband, Tommy Seward; her brother, Ronald Hoover, and wife, Susan Robinson; and her mother-in-law, Madgelene Volk, Josephine.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Louis Volk.

Family and friends will be received Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., Homer City. Interment will follow in Armagh Cemetery.
