Charles Novak

Charles Novak, 82, Homer City died January 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 1, 1933 in Tide, PA. Charles was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption, Homer City American Legion Post #493 and UMWA Local #1619, Helen, PA. Mr. Novak as a coal miner and an Army veteran having served overseas in Germany. He is survived his wife the former Dorothy Gates; sons Tony Novak and wife Denise, Brownsville and Andy Novak of Homer City and two grandchildren, CJ and Megan Novak. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Novak and wife Mary Jean, Lucernemines and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alex, Walt, Anthony, Pete, Stan and his sister, Lottie Pernosky. At the request of Charles, there will be a private visitation and funeral that will be held at the convenience of the family.
