Cheryl (Rayko) Knopick

July 22, 1944 — January 14, 2017

Cheryl (Rayko) Knopick, 72, Indiana died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Lynn Sylvester and Emma Jane (Pardee) Bathurst and was born July 22, 1944 in Indiana, PA. She was a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church where she was very involved. Cheryl loved traveling, dancing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of several local card clubs and always enjoyed her winters in Florida. She was an accounting clerk for Doctors Frank G. and Deborah Edwards, DMD and was also employed by Dr. Brown and Dr. Barnes. Cheryl is survived by her husband, William Knopick, Indiana; three children, Heather Rayko, Nashville, TN; Holly Rayko (Bill) Murphy, Tampa, Florida and Michael (Amber) Rayko, Indiana. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Garrett Sisak, Nashville, TN; Carter and Hunter Rayko, both of Indiana and her sister, Barb (Andy) Vetula, Homer City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Rayko in 2001 and her sisters Janice Fenton and Patricia Houck. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home with Reverend Katrina Laude, officiating, Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
