Clair R. Jones, 81, Homer City peacefully passed away on August 16, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Clair was born January 10, 1934 to Howard and Edna (Osewalt) Jones in Ramey, PA. Clair served in the US Army in 1957 and 1958. He is retired from Oneida Mining in Dilltown, PA Clair was past president of Tide Sportsmen's Club and a member of the American Legion Post #493, Red Barn Sportsmen's Club, the UMWA and the County Player Pool League-Homer City American Legion Team. Clair enjoyed shooting pool, pitching horseshoes, hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling and camping with his family. He was a very loving Husband, Father, Papa and Great Grandfather. With his outgoing personality he made several friends. He is famous for giving everyone a nickname and was always quick with a joke. His boys always came first and he never said no to his daughter-in-laws always coming to their rescue. He could be seen attending his grandchildren's activities. We will miss him dearly and cherish our wonderful memories with him. Clair is survived by his wife of 59 years Donna (Kephart) Jones; his sons, Robin and his wife Christine, Randy and his wife Teresa, Ronald and his wife Monica all of Homer City, and Roger of Carmichael, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jesse and his wife Jeannine, Jennifer, Greg, Lindsey and Matthew and his great grandchildren, Preston, Aspen and Lee. His loving dog and companion Lucy also survives him. Clair is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter-in-law Jody Jones, brothers, Clyde, Gene, Harry and Bobby and his sisters, Betty Zazworski, Mildred DuBroy and Ruth Crago. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where services will be held Wednesday at 10AM at the funeral home.
