Clara Margaret Churchill

Clara Margaret Churchill, 99, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Pittsburgh died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. She was the daughter of the late Clara and John Underwood and would have celebrated her 100th birthday on October 11, 2023.

Clara loved to sew and work with children in the public schools. She took pride in her home and her modern, minimalistic decorating. Twelve years ago Clara moved to Hollidaysburg to be closer to her family.

Mrs. Churchill is survived by her two children, Carole Lee Panaia, of Indiana, PA, and William S. Churchill Jr. and his husband, Fred Stowell of Hollidaysburg; three granddaughters, Carla Kologie and husband Craig, Lorri Panaia Shideler, and husband James, and Tamara Guttormson and husband Paul. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan Kologie and Anya, Siena, and Caden Guttormson.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband, William S. Churchill, Sr., her son, John E. Churchill and her son-in-law Larry Rocco Panaia.

There will be a small private service for immediate family members only. Interment will be held in the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
