Daisy A. Farine

Daisy A. (Hilty) Farine, 88, Homer City. Passed away Oct. 7, 2025, St. Andrew’s Village. She was born on March 15, 1937. Daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Foley) Hilty.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemines. She retired from Indiana Hospital after a long career. Daisy loved taking care of her family and often hosted holidays and Sunday dinners for everyone. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and NCIS.

Daisy is survived by her children, Loretta (Burton) Barber, JoAnn (Scott) Grove, Joseph (Cynthia) Farine, Jr., and Denise (Steve) Horchar. Grandchildren, David, Ryan, Jessica, Justin, Adam, Alicia, Anthony, Brandon, Logan, Mason, Matthew, Rebecca, and 19 Great Grandchildren. Sister of Dorothy Peterson, Patricia White, JoAnn (Robert) Hundley, Jeanne (Douglas) Hilliard, Debra Hilty, Bonnie Hilty, and William (Kris) Hilty.

Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Farine, Sr., great-grandson, Carter Joseph Racicot, brother, Samuel Hilty, Herman Hilty, Thomas Hilty, Richard Hilty, and sister, Anna Sullivan.

Visitation will be at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemines site. Interment to Follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
