David Lloyd “Applepap” Deyarmin, Sr., 85, Homer City died January 24, 2023, at Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville. He was born January 24, 1937, in Indiana, PA, and was the son of the late John and Nora (Muir) Deyarmin.
He was a member of the United States Army and the Homer City American Legion.
Before his retirement, David was employed as a maintenance man at Continental Can. David Sr. was proud of his son, David Deyarmin Jr., and enjoyed the great friends he had at the American Legion, who he enjoyed having coffee with. He was a quiet, hardworking man and enjoyed farming as a boy. He loved giving fresh apples to his grandchildren and always kept an eye on them while they swam in the pool, all while he relaxed on his porch enjoying his retirement. He loved watching classic westerns and using his favorite huge tractor (that was too big for the yard).
He is survived by his son, David Deyarmin Jr., his grandchildren, Cortnee Deyarmin and Lindsay Deyarmin, his great-granddaughter, Journey Culbertson, and his brother, Victor Deyarmin. He is also survived by his nieces, Bonnie Deyarmin, Kim Bush, and Vickie Deyarmin, and his nephews, Christopher Skinner, Michael Skinner, John, and Bill Deyarmin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Dean Deyarmin, and his cousin, Shirley Dranzik.
