David Paul "Red" Dellafiora

It is quite difficult to describe an indescribable individual through words. An enigma wrapped in a riddle, David Paul Dellafiora, more accurately known to the world as Red (despite the fact his hair has not been red for decades), made his last call on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He always said his back was killing him, and it turns out he might have had more medical knowledge than anyone gave him credit for. The son of Anthony “Sheriff” and Bertha (Tedeschi) Dellafiora, Red was born on June 2, 1958 in Coral, Pennsylvania. Over the years, Red would occasionally leave town to travel the world, and he would memorialize each trip with a new scratch or dent on his vehicle.

While you would not guess it from his usual complaints, aside from his family, Red was most proud of the growth of the Graceton-Coral Sportsman’s Club, an organization in which he served for decades as a Board of Director, Treasurer, and Manager. Despite his speed, or lack thereof, it is very likely two or three people will be necessary to fill the work done by Red. Additionally, for many years, Red and his brother Tony were the owners and operators of National Beer Sales in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Red was the proud father of David Gonda (Patrick), the occasionally-proud brother of Angela Ford (Alan) and Tony Dellafiora (Carol), the often-proud uncle of Tory Dellafiora, and the very seldomly-proud uncle of Logan Dellafiora (Cassidy). Despite the fact Red was often proud of his niece and very seldomly proud of his nephew, they were both his favorites – they were his only ones.

Red was also survived by more friends than can be counted. If he was better at using his phone, his contact list could have set a world record. He was an active member of the Graceton-Coral Sportsman’s Club, a member of Red Barn Sportsman’s Club and its shuffleboard league, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Red was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Louise, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. It is very likely quite the party broke out above upon his arrival. If, however, he is the bartender, it is safe to assume the partygoers will be forced to wait a couple minutes for their drinks.

Family, friends, and maybe even an enemy or two will be received at the Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., in Homer City, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Coral, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Coral-Graceton Volunteer Fire Company at 437 First Street, Coral, Pennsylvania 15731.

As Red often said, always look on the bright side of life and don’t forget to tip your bartender.
