Dorothy E. Deyarmin, 94, of Brush Valley, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 29, 2026 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana. She was born on May 7, 1932, in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of John Yount and Mary (Smail) Yount.
Dorothy was a Long time resident of Brush Valley and was retired from G.C. Murphy's after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed gardening, working word-search puzzles, attending Bible studies, and listening to bluegrass music with her husband and friends.
She is survived by her children, Lucinda Bush (George) of Indiana, George "Joe" Deyarmin (Linda) of Indiana, Sandra Hearn of Indiana, Harold Deyarmin (Diana Isgro) of Ohio, Jeffrey Deyarmin (Valerie) of Penn Run, and Virginia "Ginger" Bush and (Tim) of Indiana.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Jerry Lake, Gregg Lake, Cole Deyarmin, Joey Deyarmin, Jennifer Hearn, Michael Hearn, Joseph Richard Deyarmin, Jessica Constianes, Janet Deyarmin, Jill Kinsey, Jesse Deyarmin, Megan DeOre, and Matthew Bush; and nine great-grandchildren, Garrett Lake, Gage Lake, Mason Hearn, Lydia Hearn, Ella Constianes, Bradley Deyarmin, Jax Deyarmin, Violet DeOre, and Rose DeOre.
She is also survived by her brother, Richard Yount of Ohio, and her sister, Donna Mae Wyatt of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Yount; her husband, George and her siblings, Eugene Yount, Virginia Cheskey, Rose Harmon, Kenneth Yount, Homer Yount, Charles Fredrick and son-in-law, Ronald Hearn.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Private burial in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her faith, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
