Dorothy J. (Kush) Novak

Dorothy J. (Kush) Novak, age 87, of Homer City died on March 11, 2015. Dorothy was born on June 28, 1927 in Lucernemines, PA and was the daughter of John and Anna (Misik) Kush. She was a charter member of the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemines, PA. Dorothy is survived by one daughter Christine and husband Daniel Brubaker, Hamler, Ohio. She is also survived by five sisters: Helen Brew, Aubany, N.Y.; Agnes Mester, Homer City; Irene Leysock, Lucernmines; Marie Exon, Mundelein, Illinois and Delores Cush, Indiana. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Stefanie (Adam) Eis, Jaclyn (Jerry) Davis and Elizabeth Brubaker and five great-grandchildren, Justine, Jolynn and Jilian Eis and Brandon and Tessa Davis Dorothy is preceded in death by parents, husband Anthony Novak. Friends will be received from 5-7 PM Friday at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Fr. Ron Cytkor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
