Eleanor Elizabeth (Vresilovic) Bocz

Eleanor E. Bocz, 87, Lucernemines died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John and Sally (Zitt) Vresilovic and was born November 2, 1928. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Ladies Jednota Lodge and the Altar Rosary Society. Eleanor is survived by her two daughters, and one son, Rebecca (Dennis) Shimko, Ohio; Sally (Larry) Backus, New Alexandria; and Edward Bocz Jr., Carlisle. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Robert, Stephen and Andrew Pozik; Sarah, Joshua (Nichol) and Adam Shimko; and Amber Bocz and four great grandchildren, Brody Sennet, Hunter and Bryce Shimko and Alexa Fazi In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband Edward in 2012, one daughter, Mary Kathryn and brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-6 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing service will be held at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lucernemine Site with Rev. Father Ron Cyktor, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
