Eleanor Ciranni, 96, of Homer City, passed away February 23, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She was born March 17, 1929, in Fulton Run, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank Gulakowski and Mary (Haluburda) Gulakowski.
Eleanor was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and family, and she loved shopping. She was also a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
She is survived by her son, Bob Ciranni and his wife, Mary Ann, of Homer City; her granddaughter, Janine Ciranni of Charlotte, NC; her grandson, Craig Ciranni and his wife, Chantel, of Indiana; and her great-grandson, Luca Ciranni. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Gulakowski and his wife, Patricia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Ciranni in 2024; her brother, Richard Gulakowski, and her special aunt, Helen Repka. She was also preceded in death by her late husband’s brothers and sisters and their spouses, Francis (Marge) Ciranni, Carmella (Eugene) Murphy, Anthony (Rose) Ciranni, Margaret (Beryl) Bush, and Elizabeth Ciranni, and by her parents-in-law, Joseph Ciranni and Rose (Arone) Ciranni.
Friends will be received Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish (Lucernemines Site). Interment will be in the St. Bernard Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Concordia.
