Erma M. (Edwards) Shadle

Erma M. Shadle, 99, Homer City died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Rose Haven Personal Care Home. She was the daughter of the late Isa Edwards and was born December 28, 1918 in Blairsville. Erma was a member of the United Commercial Travelers #595, Indiana and attended the Homer City Church of the Nazarene where she prepared funeral dinners. Mrs. Shadle enjoyed baking, especially her coconut creme pies and cookies. She is survived by her two brothers, Harold McConnaughey, Blairsville and Virgil McConnaughey, Indiana; cousin, Vernon and wife, Virginia Edwards,Blairsville; goddaughters, Rita and husband, Rick Truitt, Blairsville; Renee and husband, Robert Busi, Homer City and Karen Drennen, Blairsville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband,Charles, who died September 13, 2009, infant daughters and her brother, Dale McConnaughey and sister, Gloria Allison. Friends will be received Thursday, from 3-7 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. The family of Erma would like to thank all of the staff and patients at Rose Haven Personal Care Home as well as the staff at AseraCare Hospice.
