Evelyn (Turlick) Semegon

Evelyn Semegon, age 90 of Homer City, formerly of Coral, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday March 10, 2013. Evelyn was the loving mother of Annette Buzzelli and her husband Dave, and also Karen David and her husband Dan. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Mark Buzzelli and his wife Rachael, Cara Newcomer and her husband Sean; Keith David and Noelle David. Evelyn was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Gwen and Dana Newcomer, and Cecilia and James Buzzelli. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Pierce (Turlick). Evelyn was a devoted mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. The highlight of her life was gathering her family together for Christmas. She also loved to polka dance. She is preceded in death by her husband George G. Semegon, her sister Mary Sobota, and her brother Andrew Turlick. Evelyn was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church since her birth. She also enjoyed working at Homer Center High School as a secretary for sixteen years. Friends will be received on Wednesday March 13th from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, PA 15748 where a vigil will be recited. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday March 14th at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Coral site with Rev. Father Ron Cyktor the celebrant. Interment to follow at the St. Francis Cemetery.
