Frances Shacreaw

Frances (Palmer) Shacreaw, 90, of Indiana, passed away on November 6, 2025. She was born on July 10, 1935, in Palmertown, Pa., a daughter of Ralph and Alma Mae (Walbeck) Palmer.

Frances is survived by her children, Darlene (Wayne) Stiles, George (Bonnie) Shacreaw, Robert Shacreaw, Carol (Paul) Ostach, and Lisa (Brian) Piper; her grandchildren, Scott, Marcy, Sami Jo, Michelle, Kayla, and Courtnie; her great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caiden, Lylah, Laurel, Archer, and Colton; and her sisters, Betty Stineman and Shirley (Robert) Smetak.

Frances worked at Torrance State Hospital and later at FMC. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George; her infant son, Joseph; and her grandson, Dan Shacreaw.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from noon until the memorial service at 2 PM at Bowser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral.
