Genevieve S. (Strini) Meehan

Genevieve S. Meehan, 86, Homer City died December 25, 2014 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Premo and Jenny (Gabella) Strini and was born April 23, 1928 in Indiana. Genevieve was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and she enjoyed sewing and crafts. She is survived by her niece, Sandra (Grove) and Edward Avalli of Blairsville; three nephews, H. Glenn and Margaret Manning of Middleton, PA; Thomas A. Grove and Fiancée, Sharon Smith of Blairsville and Karl and Ellen Kalokoski of Homer City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Meehan and her two sons, Patrick Jr. and Daniel Meehan. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6 at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
