George Albert Coury

George Albert Coury Jr., 83, Homer City, died December 13, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of the late George and Louise (Thomas) Coury and was born January 19, 1935 in Homer City. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. George was a faithful Pirates fan, he only missed 29 games in 48 years and drove close to 500,000 miles to attend Pirates games and baseball games across the country. He was a self employed accountant for over 50 years where he worked along side his wife. Their office was located at their home in Yankeetown. George is survived by his two daughters, Mary and her husband James Reitz, Latrobe and Susan Coury and her boyfriend Bradley Fugok, Malvern, PA; one brother, Abraham Coury and his wife Priscilla "Dolly", Indiana; one sister in law, Nancy Dell, Euclid, OH and brother in law, Norman Parchuke, Homer City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Judy" (Dellafiora) Coury, infant son, Albert George Coury, brother in law, Louis Dell and sister in law Charlotte "Chuckie" Parchuke and his canine companions, Sophia and Mags. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery.
