Arford-Geraldine (Miller), 98, Home City, went to be with the lord June 10, 2025, at Lynn Haven personal Care Home, Black Lick. Geraldine is the daughter of the late Reverend Ernest and Hazel (Zimmerman) Miller. She was born on January 6, 1927, in their home in Cairbrook, Pa. Geraldine retired from the old Indian Haven Nursing Home, with 18 years of service as CNA in 1990. Geraldine and her husband John were among the first members starting the Independent Traditional Holiness Church. Geraldine was a Sunday school teacher for many years at her father’s church the Christian Missionary Alliance Church on Jupiter Street in Homer City. She also was a Cub Scout leader for many years, Cub Pack #24. As a loving mother, mom enjoyed canning from daddy’s large weedless garden. She was famous with family and friends for baking buns twice a week. Then in the fall she would can the deer meet and salmon from her hubby’s big catch. She enjoyed Christmas time with setting up her big Christmas village in their big picture window for people to walk and drive by to enjoy. There was never a holiday that went by that she didn’t have a homemade meal on the table for her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting many things for many people. Geraldine and John enjoyed camping with their motorhome at Roaring Run Resort, with their camping family and traveling to other places in their RV. Geraldine married the love of her life John Thomas Arford in 1948 in Cumberland Maryland. Together they had four children Ken and wife Billie (Cooke) of Penn Run, Thomas and Cora (Burkey), Homer City, Brian and Fiancee Doris Pisarcik, Indiana, and Connie Stuckich and husband Dennis, Armagh. She is survived by brother Paul Miller NY, 6 grandchildren Tawnette (Roger) Pavlik,Blairsville, John (Brittany) Stuckich, Vintondale, Shawn (Faith) Arford, Clymer, Stephanie (Robert) Dekelbaum, Hanover, and Gary Pisarcik, Florida. 7 great grandchildren Derrick Paulik, Blairsville, Vanessa (Wade) Antolik, Derry, Natalie (Nick) Stewart, Blairsville, Kaleb, Aislynn, Mason, Marleigh Stuckich. 4 great great grandchildren Trystin Paulik, Blairsville, Holden and Silas Antolik, Derry, Weston and Gracelynn Stewart, Blairsville, Miles Arford, Clymer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband John Thomas (2014), Sister-in-law Doris Miller (2006), daughter-in-law Cora Ellen (Burkey) Arford (2009), son Thomas John Arford (2012), sister-in-law Sharon Miller (2015), brothers Laird Miller (2018) and James Miller (2021), sister Ressie Risinger (2023), step grandson Michael Pisarcik (2025), and in-laws Fred and Mary Arford. Some of her special friends were Helen Mitchell Dorinda Mack and very special niece LaRue Miller. A special heartfelt thanks to the team at the village house (St Andrews) for meeting my demands and the great care of our mother every day when she was there. But most of all a great big praise for Lynn Haven, who has been taking care of mom since 2022, their staff has had nothing but love and time for mom. Dr. Klain and staff you are an amazing team; Thanks For all you’re on the spot care for our mother. A private funeral service with Pastor Paul Price will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements are managed by C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home and cremation services. At the request of Geraldine’s daughter, she asked that you take time out of your busy schedule to visit someone in a nursing home. Because someday it maybe you. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Independent traditional holiness church.
