Glenn "Bud" Yockey, 92, Lucernemines, died July 30, 2025, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Glenn L. Yockey and Leona M. (Martin) Yockey-Duffield and was born January 21, 1933.
Bud was a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy during the Korean War era. After his years of service, he worked as a mechanic and later as a track layer in the coal mines until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, appreciating wildlife, target shooting, hunting, and fishing. He was often found tinkering with wood and working in his garden.
Bud would be entertained by reading the "funnies" in the newspaper and solving crossword puzzles with his wife. He thoroughly loved watching his favorites: Gunsmoke and classic Westerns.
He will forever be loved and missed, but never forgotten by those whose lives he touched. Rest In Peace.
Bud is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Allen) Vader and his wife of 65 years, B. Joanne (Coffman)Yockey and their children, Glenn M. Yockey, Thomas J. Yockey, and Kelley L. Yockey; grandson, Jordan S. Yockey; great granddaughter, Peyton B. Yockey, and a family full of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty F. Hill (H. Foster).
