Helen Ferra

Helen Ferra, age 98, of Homer City died Tuesday March 25, 2014 at her late residence . She was born APRIL 28, 1915 in Homer City and was the daughter of Michael and Angeline Yanity. Mrs Ferra was a member of Our Lady of The Assumption Parish. She was very active in the church where she enjoyed cooking and numerous activities associated with the church. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed going to all of their activities. Her hobbies where gardening, crocheting and sewing. Helen is survived by one son, Frank Ferra and wife Debbie, Blairsville, Pa., grandson, Brian Ferra and wife Melanie, Lower Burrell, PA. granddaughter, Diane Antonacci and husband Dan, Indiana, Pa. great grandchildren, Maia, Dominic and Niko Ferra; Isabella and Julia Antonacci. She was preceded in death by parents; husband Frank Ferra in 2012 and an infant son, Ronald Ferra, 3 brothers and 3 Sisters. Friends will be received Friday March 28, 2014 at 9:00 AM until time of Blessing Service at 10:30 AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of The Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site., with Rev. Fr. Ronald Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana, PA. .
