Helen “Katie” Reams

Helen “Katie” (Messenger) Reams, 81, of Homer City, passed away December 28th at her residence after a battle with cancer.. She was born April 9, 1944, in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Elliott) Messenger.

Katie was a member of Grace Church, Indiana, and retired from Indiana County Children and Youth Services where she worked as an Administrative Assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Quinton Reams; her daughters, Michelle (Dwayne) Smith and Sue Yoders; her step-children, Christine Reams, Michael (Andrea) Reams, Danielle (Adam) Mason, and Whitney Reams; special family member, Allison McCoy-Jones.

She is also survived by her brother, James (Dianna) Messenger and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Joseph Yoders, Baby Yoders, two infant children, her step-son, Lance Reams, and her sisters, Joanne (Sam) Bungard and Mary Ann Messenger.

Friends will be received Friday from 2PM - 4PM and 6PM - 8PM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. Friends will also be received Saturday from 10AM - 11AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM at Grace Church of Indiana, 712 Church Street Indiana, PA
