Helen Cecilia (Hibel) Sandolfini

Helen Cecilia Sandolfini, 86, of Homer City (Graceton) passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 6, 2017. Helen was born August 2, 1930, daughter of the late Albin and Anna (Dobrovich) Hibel. Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Helen was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed planning and participating in family celebrations. She loved making both Slovak and Italian traditional foods for these events. Christmas was her favorite holiday; she began preparing in September. She was especially blessed to have spent her last Christmas at home with her family. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles, crocheting and needlework. She is survived by her husband, Jim Sandolfini, recently celebrating 66 years of marriage; her children, James (Rosanne) Sandolfini; Suzanne (Paul) Manecke; Patti (Tony) Sottile; Karen (Mark) Jashinski; her grandchildren, Karena Sandolfini (Kary) Kim, Luke (Julie) Sandolfini, Brian (Fe) Manecke, James (Tessa) Manecke, Justin Sottile, Ashley Jashinski. Holli Sottile, Adam Jashinski; great grandchildren, Caden Kim; Vinny, Shelby and Naomi Sandolfini; Junabella Manecke and a sixth great grandchild is expected in March. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Barletta; Sister Denise (Tudy) Hibel (Sister of Charity of Nazareth); Christine (George) Byce; sister-in-law, Marti Hibel and all her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Hibel Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass that will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Interment will be at the St. Francis Cemetery, Graceton.
