Ida Belle (Cochran) Bork

IdaBelle Bork, 93 of Homer City died at Maple Valley PCH. On Thursday March 23, 2017. The daughter of James W. and Bertha (Matthews) Cochran, she was born on April 30, 1923 in Brush Valley, Indiana County, she was the oldest of 14 brothers and sisters. Idabelle was a member of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Joraii class, Presbyterian Women, a Church Elder, a Deacon, helped with Vacation Bible School, and also taught Sunday school for many years. She was a dedicated member helping with many activities that were going on at the Church. Idabelle was a member of the Rainbow Diamond Glass Club. She loved to collect glassware from different eras. IdaBelle Married Walter J. Bork, November 1941. They shared 57 years of marriage until his death on Jan 5, 1999. She cared deeply about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. IdaBelle Spent many hours on the front porch to keep an eye on everyone including the new calves that she loved to watch daily. IdaBelle is survived by her Son: David Bork Sr. and wife Debbie of Homer City, Son-in law Fred Hintemeyer of Indiana. Grandchildren, David Bork Jr. and fiance Tami Fee, Jessica Borowitz and Husband Josh of Homer City, David Hintemeyer and Wife Carol of Pittsburgh. Great-grandchildren, Hayden, Landen, and Raygen Hintemeyer from Pittsburgh. Brothers: James, Brush Valley ,Robert Cochran, Fallen Timbers, William Cochran, Fla. , Sisters: Frances Prosser, NY, Ruby Travis, Homer City, Mary Silveri, Indiana, and her dear neighbor and friends, Arch and June Shupe. IdaBelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, her daughter Bertha BirdieHintemeyer, brothers, John, Archie, Alex, and sisters, Carol, Virginia, Neddie, and Helen. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Service will be Tuesdays at 11 at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Interment to following in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. A very Special thanks to Maple Valley PCH for all of their help and love for Idabelle during their shared time together. Also, a thank you to the care givers who helped when Idabelle was in her home.
