Irvin Daniel Kuta

Irvin Daniel Kuta, 85, of Homer City died December 5, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Peter and Valeria (Rudjenski) Kuta and was born March 2, 1933 in Lucernemines. Irvin was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. He enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with his family. He loved his Pittsburgh Sports teams, the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. Irvin was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in South Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Westinghouse i and worked in both Blairsville and Cheswick. Irvin is survived by his wife, Joanna (Buzi) Kuta, of Homer City; son, Daniel Kuta and wife Joanne of Indiana and daughter, Maria Ranallo and husband Dennis of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Anthony and PJ Kuta and Natalie and Claire Ranallo all of Pittsburgh. His sister, Clara Uhron of Indiana also survives him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Bernard "Blan" Kuta, Edward Kuta and Norbert Kuta and his three sisters, Sylvia Rayko, Priscilla Mistretta and Jenny Danko. A Blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Luceremines Site.
