Joan T. (Zellman) Leysock

Joan T. Leysock, age 78 of Homer City died January 15, 2013 at Bethany Place, Indiana. She was born March 15, 1934 in Ernest and was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Gillis) Zellman. Joan was an active member of St. Mary Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church where she loved making nut rolls and pierogies. She also enjoyed bingo, reading, and scratch off tickets. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren. She had a strong love for her family and especially her Grandkids who meant the world to her. She was a role model and the world was a better place because she was in it. Joan was a kind hearted person and always saw the good in everyone. She is survived by 4 children: Gary Leysock of Indiana; Tammy and husband Rob Buchanan of Homer City; Tom Leysock of Homer City and Tim and wife Christina Leysock of Wellington, FL Joan is also survived by four grandchildren: Stefanie Buchanan of Pittsburgh; Emorie Leysock, Kenzie Leysock and Jake DiBerardino all of Wellington, FL Siblings Frank Zellman of Indiana; Patty Zellman and Judy Sisko both of Homer City also survive her. Joan is preceded in death by parents, husband Andrew with whom she was married to for 46 years, and her brother Gene Zellman. Friends will be received Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Panachida will be offered on Saturday at 10:20 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City with father Cuthbert Jack, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
