John Michael Cikowski

John Michael Cikowski Sr., 85, Homer City died January 13, 2015 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John Joseph and Kathryn (Smysky) Cisek and was born March 6, 1930 in Wyano, Pennsylvania. He was a member of our Lady of the Assumption Parish and was a retired coal miner from North American Coal Company. John was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife the former Pauline Drawl; two daughters, Kathryn Stipcak of Homer City and Mary Ann Davis of Blairsville; two sons, Tyrone Cikowski of Homer City and John Jr. of Brush Valley; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. John is also survived by sisters, Mary Ann Taddie of Homer City and Frances Kluchurosky of Ohio and his brother, Walter of Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Stipcak. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucerne mines Site with Rev. Father Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
