John Strini Jr.

John Strini Jr., 84, Homer City died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John Sr. and Mary (Stella) Strini and was born April 9, 1928 in Homer City. John was a charter member of the Red Barn Sportsman club and a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of UMWA Local #488, Lucernemines and was retired from his job as a Federal Mine Inspector. John is survived by his wife - the former Delores Martin; 2 sisters - Flora Maggio and husband Pete of Homer City and Amelia Stewart of Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister - Rosemary Bertocchi , brother - Lloyd Strini and an infant brother - Marco Strini. Friends will be received Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Father Ron Cyktor, officiating.
