John Yanoschick, Jr.

John Yanoschick Jr., 88, of Graceton died February 8, 2019 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, PA. He was the son of the late John and Emma Yanoschick Sr. and was born April 5, 1930 in Tide, PA. John was a member of St. Mary's Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City. He was also an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #493, Homer City. He was employed by Westinghouse in Blairsville. John is survived by his son, Harvey Yanoschick and his wife Barbara (Thompson), Homer City; niece Melanie Briscoe, Homer City; grandchildren Terra Yanoschick, Indiana; Ann Vance and her husband Brad, Homer City; Tim Dobronski, LaMesa, CA and Taya Yanoschick, Homer City. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Tyler, Cheyenne and Finnegan Vance and his brothers Bill Yanoschick and his wife Barb, Coral and Dave Yanoschick and his wife Marilynn, Homer City. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia in 2017, his grandson Nathan Yanoschick, his sister, Gloria Capitosti, his brother Bobby Yanoschick and his niece Suzanne Scribe. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-5 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Panachida will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral.
