John H. Zometsky

John H. Zometsky, 66, Lucernemines died October 26, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late Walter W. and Dessie M. (Hamilton) Zometsky and was born January 4, 1950 in Indiana, PA. John was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan. He was also a member of the Red Barn Sportsmen Club, the Coral Graceton Sportsmen Club and the Homer City American Legion. He was an avid hunter and loved to spend time with family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna J. Zometsky; children, Jennifer and husband Gary Rudd, Lucernemines and John and wife Stacey (Koontz) Zometsky, Johnstown and five grandchildren, Patrick Rudd, Madison and Morgan Zometsky and Alec and Arik Koontz. He is also survived by sisters, Beverly Loughner, Greenville, SC; Linda and husband Steve Beskid, Coral, PA and brother, Joseph and wife Jane Zometsky, Conway, SC and Sister-in-law, Agnes Zometsky, Conway, SC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Volpe and Lorraine Zometsky and his brothers, Walter and Ronald Zometsky, Friends will be received, Sunday from 3-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ronald Cyktor, the Celebrant. Interment will be held at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 850 Hospital Road #3000, Indiana, PA 15701
