Peters, Joseph, Jr., 86, Nanty Glo, passed away Nov. 5, 2017 at Cambria Care Center. He was born May 20, 1931 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late Joseph and Cora (Fresch) Peters, Sr. Preceded in death by Brothers Ralph and Lester. Sister Ruth Kutchman. Son-in-law Dave Kovach. Joseph is survived by his wife of 65 years the former Phyllis Heller, Nanty Glo; Children Kathy (Jack) Keilman, Ebensburg, Sharon (Ron) Bowman, Nanty Glo. Joseph Peters, III, at home. Grandchildren Jennifer (Dave) Sharp, Kerry Salvaggio (Eric), Luke (Holly) Bowman, Justin (Susie) Bowman, Emilie (Matt) Gibbons. Great grandchildren David (Ashley), Josh, Shawn, Brandon, Christian, and Madison. Andrew, Lexi, Ella, Olivia, and Avery. Brother of Jean Pyer, Ken (Rita), Donna Hibbard. Sister-in-law Doris Heller and brother-in-law Ed Rusnak. And the extended Keilman Family. Numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was a member of the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Polish club and American Legion, both of Nanty Glo. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved going to his camp in Tionesta. He retired from US Steel after 35 years then went on to work at Enmacon. Family and friends will be received Wednesday 4-8 at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, and on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM, at the Nanty Glo United Methodist Church, Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment to follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Josephs family would like to thank the staff at the Cambria Care Center for the excellent care they gave to Joseph.
