Julian Babitz

Babitz, Julian (Jehudi), 87, Vintondale, formerly of New York City and Florida, passed away Jan.4, 2017 at UPMC Altoona. He was born Aug. 2, 1929.He was the son of the late Simon and Leah (Goldenhar) Babitz. Proceeded in death by beloved grandfather Rabbi Babitz, brothers Saul and Ed, nephew Bruce Babitz and dear friend Zoltan M. Antol. Survived by Daughter Dr. Lisa Babitz Greisman and her husband Dr. Stewart Greisman, New York City. Son Arthur Babitz, Hood River Or. Granddaughter Dr. Laura Babitz, New York City, Dr. Jill Greisman, Fultonville, NY, and Jack Greisman, New York City. Sister-in-law Judy Babitz, North Carolina. Close buddy Adam Laporte. Julian was a Veteran of the Korean War and a student of Cooper Union College, New York City. A private funeral service will be held in the Antol Family Cemetery, Vintondale.
