Julie Ann Arone

Julie Ann Arone (Usko), born on October 31, 1975, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 20, 2026, in Shadyside, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family.

A devoted wife to her husband, and a caring mother to her children. Julie touched the lives of many through her compassionate work as a veterinary technician at Indian Springs Veterinary Hospital. She was a cherished daughter and a dear sister.

Julie is survived by her husband, Mike Arone. Her children Makenzie Shields, Aidan Arone, and Isabella Arone. Her parents Josie and Bill Usko. Her brother Michael (Rebecca) Usko. Her mother and father-in-law, Sam (Betsy) Arone. Her uncle Rick (Dana)Martini and her aunt Anna Luther and her beloved cousins: Rena, Krista, Alicia, Emily, Anthony, Nikki, Alesha, Bo, Amanda.

Julie was predeceased by her beloved family members: Orlando Martini, Maria Martini, Peggy Usko, Frank Usko, Alice Ramsey, Paul Ramsey, Mary Arone, Frank Arone, Bob Usko, Lori Usko, and Reno Martini, along with others who will forever hold a special place in her family’s hearts.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life during visitation on April 24 from 2 to 8 PM, at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral site. Interment in church cemetery.

Julie’s kindness, warmth, and spirited love for her family and animals will be deeply missed. She never met an animal that she didn’t love and treat with compassion. In lieu of flowers, Julie’s family and Indian Springs Veterinary Clinic are setting up the “Julie Arone Guardian Angel Fund” for pets in need.
