June Adele (Houk) Beckey

Becky, June Adele (Houk), 96, Altoona, formerly of Belsano, passed away April 17, 2017, in Altoona. She was born September 22, 1920 in Akron, OH. Daughter of the late Leonard and Trilby (Schlabig) Houk. Preceded in death by Husband Alden V. Becky and brother William. Survived by daughter Linda (Rick) Opdyke, Altoona, step grandson Ryan (Ana) Opdyke, Elkridge, MD, and 3 step great grandchildren McKenna, Logan, and Carter. Member of the Faith United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for over 20 years. June worked in the ship yards in Baltimore during World War II. She enjoyed gardening, needle work, cooking, and she was an avid reader. Viewing will be held at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Rev Clayton Harriger, officiating. Interment to follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
