Katherine (Sivulich) Vetula

Katherine Vetula, age 96, of Homer City, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Lake City Nursing and Rehabiliation Center in Lake City, Georgia. Katherine was born on January 13, 1917 in Nanty Glo, Pa. and was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Homa) Sivulich. Katherine is survived by her son David Vetula, and wife Carol, Locust Grove, Georgia and daughter Patricia Gallo and husband Paul Hendrick, Boston Massachusetts. She was also survived by her Grandson Lon Vetula, granddaughter Kerry Kirkley, two great grandchildren Graham and Jason Kirkley. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Vetula, 1 sister and 4 brothers; Eva Sharba, Michael, John, George and Nick Sivulich. Friends will be received Thursday, December 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 AM Friday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines, with Rev. Fr. Ron Cytkor celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to The Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh PA, 15224.
