Linda Kanyan

Linda Darlene (Jennings) Kanyan, 76, of Coral, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, with her children and husband at her side in her home after an eight year courageous battle with multiple myeloma and adenocarcinoma. She is the daughter of the late William and Daisy Jennings.

Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Nick, son Nick of Coral PA, and daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Scott Hafer and grandson Aden of Hanover PA, sister Karen Jennings-Sink (Jack) of Home PA, brother Melvin Jennings (Lee) of Bedford OH, sister in law Violet Jennings of Homer City PA, and many nieces and nephews. Her brother Bill passed away in 2004.

Linda worked many various jobs over the years, and spent her last eighteen years working at the Coral Post Office before retiring in 2004. She enjoyed playing in the Thursday morning golf league at Meadow Lane with good friends Cheri, Kathy, and Julie, and star gazing with Meg at Lake Wales FL. Never complaining, she was always looking forward to the next time her family would gather and loved the week everyone spent at Topsail Island every summer, especially with her grandson Aden. She also loved Christmas morning and made sure the house was overflowing with packages.

The family is thankful to those who took professional care of Linda, including the Hillman Cancer Center, Concordia IRMC VNA, and VNA Family Hospice. Donations may be made in Linda’s memory to your favorite charity.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16th at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in Homer City. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery in Indiana, PA.
