Lois Jean (Burkey) Rorabaugh

Lois Jean Rorabaugh, 56, of Shelocta died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her home after fighting a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred Dean and Rita Jean (Ramsell) Burkey and was born November 12, 1956 in Colver, PA. Lois was a member of the Yellowstone Association and an avid lover of the Rocky Mountain Region. She was a former Team Truck Driver where she was employed with her husband Jim. Lois is survived by her husband, James E.; sons, Robert and special friend Jerri Nelson of Dubois and Michael and wife Marissa of Decatur, Indiana and grandchildren, Taylor and Harlee. She is also survived by siblings, Sidney Dean of Lucernemines, Brenda Lee Wood and husband David of Shelocta and Rickey Lynn and wife Darline of Shelocta. Her mother-in-law, Marion Rorabaugh and sister-in-law Janet and her husband Tom both of Punxsutawney also survive her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert W. Rorabaugh. Friends will be received Sunday from 1-4PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at her sisters Brenda's house.
