Margaret Jean (Corosu) Hamilton

May 10, 1926 — May 9, 2013

Margaret Jean (Corosu) Hamilton, 86, Lucernemines died May 9, 2013 of Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Zella Arena (Troup) Corosu and was born May 10, 1926 in Canton, Ohio. She was an active member of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder. She was a seamstress for more than 60 years and enjoyed making wedding and homecoming dresses. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gerald; four daughters, Bonnie and her husband Dan Steffey of Lucernemines; Tammy Barrow of Homer City; Rebecca and her husband Mark Battestilli of Homer City and Amy and her husband Tony Henry of Blairsville; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Paul Corosu of Plumville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Steffey; two sisters, Frances Varholick and Elizabeth Robertson; one brother, Wilbert Novitski and her stepfather, Frank Novitski. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Frank Torzok . Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
