Mary Kathleen (Kathy) Miller

Mary Kathleen Miller, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born in Indiana, PA, on August 6, 1942, to the late Martha Dietman and Ray Burkley.

She graduated from Purchase Line High School, where she then became an LPN where she worked for Dr. CHI.

Kathy was well-known for her sense of humor, strength, hospitality, craftsmanship, and culinary skills. She enjoyed crocheting, attending craft shows, gardening, cooking, decorating, shopping at yard sales, and playing bingo. She also loved fishing and putting her feet in the creek.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Rene Simms; granddaughter, Lacey Williams; great-granddaughter, Jocelyn (Logan) Williams; sister, Debbie Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Moose Lodge, Post 174, Indiana, and the Legion Post 493, Homer City.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miller; her daughter, Brenda Miller; her sister, Marcy Kelly; and her grandson, Shawn Williams.

Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Additionally, friends are welcome to gather from 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana.
