Mary M Yaworsky

Mary M. Yaworsky, age 96 of Tide, died Saturday March 22, 2014 at St. Andrews village. Mary was born on May 9, 1917 in Starford, Pa. She was the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Potoncey) Benko. Mary was a member of Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City, St. Mary's ladies guild. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed working at her church. Mary is survived by 2 daughters, Maryann and husband Stephen Kapcoe, West Chester, MD. Stella Laux, Waterford, Wisconsin. 1 son John A. Yaworsky, Tide, Pa 1 brother Joseph and wife Jenny Benko, Starford, Pa 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by husband John Yaworsky and 2 sisters Helen Pavlosky and Elizabeth Benko. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the C. Frederick Bowser funeral home, Homer City, A Parastas service will be received Monday at 2:00 p.m. A Panachida will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15 at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. At St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City with Fr. Cuthbert Jack the celebrant. Interment to follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
