Michael Helman

Michael Helman, 74, of Homer City, passed away on October 26th.

He was born in Indiana, PA, and is survived by his son, Tom Helman (Tammy), his daughter, Marci Carnahan (Jeff), three granddaughters, Megan Helman, Maura Helman, and Bree Carnahan, two brothers, Dan Helman and Bob Patterson, a sister, Tam Wlotko (Ed), stepfather Pete Patterson, his cousin Joe Helman (Donna), and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Patterson and Jack Helman, and his wife, Patty.

He spent his career working on drilling rigs, with the majority of his 30-plus years at S.W. Jack Drilling Company. After retiring, he was a dedicated caretaker for his wife until her passing in 2017.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports. He loved holidays with family and grandchildren, which always ended with a good poker game.

A private service was held at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. He was then laid to rest beside his beloved wife of 47 years.
