Mickey Nobuko Pilat, age 84 of North Versailles passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born on April 25, 1929 in Sendai, Japan. Mickey was well known for her love of family and friends, country music, her happy spirit, and her famous fried rice. She was survived by her son Tommy Pilat of North Versailles, her grandson, Thompson J. Pilat, and her great grandson, Khaidyn Pilat both of Saltsburg. She is also survived by two sisters, Hidako and Yasuko of Japan. Mickey is also survived by many family members and friends in the Indiana and North Versailles areas. Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Albert Pilat of Indiana in 2010 where they lived for over twenty-five years. She is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. R. A. Wallace officiating.
